Hinterland

The Bavarian border: a smitten skinhead and his girlfriend who want to escape to the “promised land” Berlin. Two metal thieves on the prowl for copper in run-down factories in the border area. A reclusive but enigmatic hedonist who brings glamor into the otherwise greyness of the area with his parties, and his German-Czech girlfriend who just wants to find love. They are all searching in this mysterious stretch of land in New Europe. The film attempts to capture the youthful attitude towards life with episodes and scenic moments.
