Die innere Zone
Switzerland, the near future: After the sudden emission of unidentified gasses at a tunnel constuction site in the mountains, a nearby village is evacuated. Three engineers who stayed behind in order to analyze the gas leakage are soon showing symptoms of mental disorder and delusions. Psychologist Marta is sent to investigate their strange behavior, but while she is exploring the deserted underground facility in search for the scientists, she also starts to lose her grip on reality.
The science-fiction film is inspired by the 1969 incident at the Lucens nuclear plant in Switzerland.
