Biography
Anna Martinetz was born in 1978 in Vienna/Austria and studied Archaeology and Anthropology at Cambridge University as well as Film Directing at the University of Television and Film in Munich. Her documentary "Edna – a Nanny in Hong Kong" (2012) was nominated for the German Human Rights Film Award, her documentary "Marriages are made in Heaven" (2009) for the Unicato Film Award. Her documentary "Stadtutopie oder die Legende von Synia" (2005) won the Best Newcomer Film Award at the Diagonale Festival of Austrian Film. She also directed the shorts "Chukka" (2003) and "Doris Dörrie inszeniert Mozart" (2006).
