When 14-year-old Mika does not pass a class, her parents cancel the vacation in the summer camp she longed for and send her to her grandmother's stud farm, where Mika is supposed to study under survey of the strict old lady. However, Mika's stay at the ranch turns out to be not all that bad: There is stable boy Sam, who seems to be interested in the summer guest and there is also the wild and reclusive stallion "Ostwind" that attracts Mika's attention. Up to this point, nobody has been able to tame the horse. Mika and Ostwind, however, develop an unusual friendship right from the start, when the girl discovers her talent as a horse whisperer. Can Mika find out the reason for the stallion's wayward temper?
