Unplugged: Leben Guaia Guaia
Documentary about two men in their early twenties and their unconventional way of life:
The two street musicians from Berlin have already been homeless for three years – by choice. Under the moniker "Guaia, Guaia", Luis and Elias travel through Germany, taking all their belongings along in two garbage cans. Their illegal concerts not only attract numerous fans, but also regularly the authorities. The resourceful survivalists sleep in railway cars, break open dumpsters to find clothing and get their food from the supermarket trash.
Driven by an unconditional love for music and their desire for freedom, they live their dream on the fringes of society, apart from its regulations and its materialism. Fittingly, a lyric from their CD "Eine Revolution ist zu wenig" (A Revoultion Is Not Enough) roughly translates as follows:
"You just want everything, therefore you get nothing, I cling to my boys, you only cling to your possessions. . [...] The sun rises, the world ends. I sleep on the beach, witness a wonder. I can't win more".
