Born in Singen, Germany in 1983, he began his career working in postproduction and as an assistant editor. Taking up studies at the Academy for Media Arts in Cologne (KHM) in 2005, he attended a documentary course at the International School of Film and Television (EICTV) in Cuba in 2009. "Sterben nicht vorgesehen" is his graduation film from the Cologne academy.
