Summary
25 years ago, grandpa Lörke already celebrated a rather turbulent Christmas Eve in "Ach, du fröhliche ...". This time around, Christmas Eve gets even more turbulent because his pregnant grand daughter Twini, who is just 17 years old, flees her family to tell him that he is going to become a great-grandfather. Although Twini fears that her parents are less understanding and tolerant than her grandfather, Lörke calls in the "family council". He even invites two young men, King and Klucke. King is in love with Twini, but Twini loves Klucke who is also the father of her unborn child. But Klucke neither wants the child nor wants to marry Twini. To top things off, widow Klinkenhöfer who has cast an eye on grandpa Lörke barges in. – Nevertheless, after a lot of noise and several confusing discussions, harmony prevails in the end despite all problems.
