Summary
Ruttmann’s first Lichtspielopus consists of 10.000 separately coloured images that Ruttmann put together with a device he himself had constructed. The 10-minute film is a choreography of geometric forms in front of multi-coloured surfaces. "Lichtspiel Opus 1" is said to be the first abstract, "absolute", and coloured experimental film.
