Curtis Burz was born in 1970 in Romania and grew up in Germany. He studied Acting and Directing Methodology at the Bremen Theater Institute. His acclaimed films include: "Mark Morrisroe – Polaroids 1959-1989" (short, 2002), "Dialogue with Brecht" (short, 2003), "Kurt Donald Kobain – Suicide Note" (short, 2005), "Dear Writer, Dear Actress" (experimental doc, 2005), "Virginia" (short, 2006), "Adoleszenz" (short, 2006), "Will McBride – Boystories" (doc, 2006-2012), "The Photograph is of Me" (shorts/doc, 2006), "Zärtlichkeiten" ("Educated People", 2006-2012), "Rekonvaleszenz" ("Nachbarsjungen", doc reconstruction, 2007-2011), "Geschichten aus der Heimat" (short, 2010), "Ich hab dir nie erzählt, womit ich mein Geld verdiene" (doc, 2011), and the features "Gib mir noch ein Jahr" ("Give Me Another Year", 2012), "Nora" (2013), and "Das Sommerhaus" ("The Summer House", 2014).
