Biography
Hansjörg Thurn was born in Hagen in 1960. From 1980-1984 he studied film in Dortmund, majoring in Scriptwriting and Directing. Since then, he has created and directed a number of short films, documentaries and social features for television while his journalistic assignments include time spent in Japan, South Africa and Yugoslavia. Among his scripting credits are two episodes of Germany"s best-known TV-cop series, "Schimanski". His films as a director are "The Harpist" (1996) and "Love Never Fails" ("Marmor, Stein und Eisen", 2000).
