Biography
Andreas Michels was born in Cologne on in 1962 and worked as an intern at Regina Ziegler Filmproduktion in 1982. He studied German and Music in Cologne and worked as an assistant director from 1986-1995 on such productions as "Die Lok" (1991), "Leni" (1994) and "Traumstreuner" (1995). He made his directorial debut in 1995 with the short "Jan Unterwegs" and followed with "Schwester Teresa - die Rap-Nonne" (TV short feature, 1997), "Trapper Husky" (TV short feature, 1997) and then the first feature "Grease Spot" ("Fett weg!", 1998).
