Summary
The White Hell of Pitz Palu
"Föhn" is a remake of the mountain film classic "Die weiße Hölle vom Piz Palü" ("The White Hell of Pitz Palu", 1929): An elderly physician cannot get over the loss of his wife who died in an avalanche during the ascent of the dangerous mountain several years ago. When a young couple again ventures to climb the mountain, history seems to repeat itself. But the old man rescues the young couple by sacrificing his own life.
