Biography
Karin Koester was born in Munich in 1966 and studied Dance at the Iwanson Dance Academy from 1985 to 1988. She has performed in several dance theater productions in Munich and choreographed for theaters, commercials and cinema and television. She worked as a first assistant for directors Thomas Bahmann, Stefan Schneider and Dietrich Mangold from 1993 to 1996 and was a director of photography and editor on the dance films "Hidden Dances", "A Garden" and "Patches". Her other films include: "Freude schoener Goetterspeise" (short), "Verirrt" (short), "Gift" (short), "Tante Adele" (short), "Nachts" (short), "Eisfrei", "Flanell No. 5" and "Salomes Tanz" (work in progress).
