Biography
Mattias Caduff was born in Zurich/Switzerland in 1962. He studied sculpture at the State Art Academy in Duesseldorf from 1980-1990 and did his postgraduate studies, from 1992-1994, at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. He began working as an independent filmmaker in 1995 and was a fellow of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne from 1996-1997. He lives in Basel and is currently teaching at Zurich"s Academy for Design and Art. His films are: "Blindnis" (short documentary, 1994) and "Conversation in the Mountains" ("Gespraech im Gebirg", 1999). Conversation In The Mountains won the Quality Premium of the Swiss Ministry of Culture.
