Summary
Documentary film about "Breaking the Silence"(BtS), an Israeli NGO consisting of former soldiers of the Israeli army. Their goal is to report on everyday military life in the occupied territories, with a special focus on the darker side of the daily life there. In this way, the members of BtS want to critically reflect on past events, re-evaluate them and also create an awareness of grievances and mistakes among the Israeli public. The organization is sometimes sharply criticized by politicians and the military. In her film, Silvina Landsmann accompanies members of the group through their everyday lives and tries to show the challenges and resistance they have to deal with, but also the successes that BtS has achieved.
