Summary
Ruth Slater served 20 years in prison for the murder of a policemen. After her release, she is met with suspicion and rejection in her hometown, and especially the two sons of the killed cop meet her with hostility. Yet Ruth has one goal above all: to find her much younger sister Katherine, who came to a foster family after Ruth's arrest, again after all these years.
