Jobel Mokonzi was born on 29 May 1998 in Angola. In 2018/2019 she completed acting workshops with Theresa Harder at the Radio and TV Academy Hamburg. At the same time she made her debut in front of the camera with a leading role in the first four seasons of the web series "Druck", about the everyday life and problems of young people in Berlin. She also had a leading role in the award-winning drama series "Para - Wir sind King" (2021), which tells the survival, self-discovery and party stories of four best friends from Berlin-Wedding. Mokonzi, whose character Fanta falls in love with a colleague during a summer job at the hostel, also appeared in the second season, which aired on Sky from April 2023.
She also had guest roles in the hospital series "Betty's Diagnosis" (2023) and "In aller Freundschaft" (2023). Jobel Mokonzi played her first lead role in the coming-of-age story "Get Up" (2023), about four friends who want to compete as a team in a skateboarding tournament.
