Biography

Dorothe Dörholt has a Ph.D. in Psychology and a Master's degree in Media Studies. Since 1995 she has been working as a TV journalist and documentary filmmaker for national and international broadcasters such as ARD, ARTE, BBC, CNBC and WDR. After 9 years in the U.S. and extensive experience as a freelance foreign correspondent for programs such as the German Spiegel TV, she returned to Europe in 2003. Today she lives in Switzerland and works as a filmmaker of high-quality documentaries mainly focussing on human rights issues and human interest stories.
