Modern Family
Renate and Manni have drifted apart, even though they live under the same roof. Caught in the routine of their everyday rural lives, they seem to live alongside of one another. Until one evening Renate – without asking Manni – takes in a refugee family into their secondary suite. Suddenly Manni has to come to terms with four new occupants, with curious neighbors and his own prejudices. While he’s still asking himself why Renate is so concerned with the refugees, things take on a life of their own. The help Renate would like to offer turns into unintentional infringement.
