Summary
From his apartment, Sobo Swobodnik observed a street crossing in Berlin with his camera for more than a year and recorded the varied hustle and bustle on the street. The soundtrack consists of newly composed music by Till Mertens and the narrative voice of Clemens Schick as well as of soundbites coming from inside the apartment: television, radio, music, scraps of conversation, answering machine messages are accompanying the images, sometimes counteracting or caricaturing them. The images of the outside world are thus placed in relation to an inside world, which results in a multi-layered whole.
