Biography

Theresa von Eltz was born in Bonn on November 15, 1978. She studied history and political science in Berlin and graduated with a masters degree in history from Oxford university. Subsequently, she enrolled in the director's class at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, Great Britain. Her first student short "Gecko" was invited into the short film competition at the 2007 Berlin IFF. During the following years, she directed several segments for the TV theatre program "Foyer", provided a "Making of" featurette for Matthias Schweighöfer's box office hit "What a Man" and directed several award-winning commercials. Theresa von Eltz made her feature film debut as director with the youth drama "Vier Könige".
