Biography
Kiki Allgeier was born in San Francisco in 1982. From 2000-2004, she studied perfoming arts and social justice studies, and then relocated to New York where she worked as a performance artist and got first-hand film experience as an actress and productions assistant. Eventually starting out as a freelance filmmaker, she has shot numerous commercials and music videos.
Allgeier worked as 2nd DoP on the documentaries "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead" (US 2010) and "Big Boys Gone Bananas" (SE 2011). She made her feature film debut as director with the documentary "Seht mich verschwinden", a portrait of the late fashion model Isabelle Caro who suffered from anorexia. The film premiered at the 2014 DOK Leipzig Festival and was released in Germany in July 2015.
