Biography

Sibylle Dahrendorf was born in Cologne in 1964. She moved to Berlin in 1992, and started working as a freelance author for several TV stations. For her features, she travelled to Columbia, Mexico, Israel and Kosovo amongst other locations.

In 1998, she began her extensive and long-lived collaboration with Christoph Schlingensief. Dahrendorf also made documentaries on other subjects, including "Moldawien: Triumph der Jugend in einem Land ohne junge Generation" (2007) and "Israel. Wir sind alle zweite Generation von irgendwas" (2008).
In 2009, she contributed a feature on Schlingensief to the TV series "Deutschland deine Künstler". Dahrendorf's documentary "Knistern der Zeit - Christoph Schlingensief und sein Operndorf in Burkina Faso", which depicts the last project of Schlingensief – who passed away in 2010 –, was released in 2012.
